Scottsdale, Arizona June 27, 2012 — Lorcaserin (Belviq-Arena Pharmaceuticals, San Diego), is a new and unique drug; it’s the first drug for weight loss to work by specifically targeting the 5-HT2c brain’s serotonin receptors. These receptors when triggered promote fullness. This fullness results in weight loss.
