In 37 weeks I have lost 50 pounds and I’m at the lowest weight I have ever been able to achieve. I have been yo-yo dieting for the last 30 years and I really thought at age 48 it was hopeless to think I could achieve a goal weight. My sister Heather was a patient at SWLC and encouraged me to try out the program. I was hesitant because it seemed like any other diet I had tried and failed. But, in my desperation, I decided to try the program and was very surprised how Dr. Primack always had a solution for any challenge we encountered week to week. Not only did I see results on the scale, in my clothes, and in my inches, I also had a different mindset on how I approach this program. For the first time, it was a mental and emotional plan to help me achieve my weight loss goals. From the support of the staff, to the many different options in programs, to the incredible tasting snacks, this was finally the plan that not only helped me to achieve the weight loss, but it also helped me to keep it off. I had no desire to start having “cheat” days, “cheat” meals, etc. I found a way to understand how different foods worked with my body, how to incorporate holiday dinners into my plan, and that exercise did not need to be a 2-3 hour hard work out daily. I found my exercise niche that works for me without making me hate exercise. I’m so happy I joined the program, met the incredible Dr. Primack and his excellent staff, and found a way to enjoy life again without the stress of traditional dieting. Thank you SWLC and Heather for giving me one last shot at achieving my goal weight and maintaining it!
