Being healthy isn’t all hard work. Simply being positive and keeping a smile on your face is shown to support healthy weight loss.

In the United States, the weight loss industry brings in millions of dollars every year. On the other end of that coin is an endless stream of marketing from the fashion industry, showing off images of airbrushed models who are in turn setting completely unrealistic body standards. At the end of the day, it doesn’t feel like a lot to smile about. This is the problem that so many people face when it comes to living a healthier lifestyle!

The best step you can take towards getting a body you’ll love is to start loving your body. This means appreciating your body for everything it is and does, and letting that love set the tone for your day. It starts with a smile and ends with a good attitude.

Attitude can make or break your weight loss goals, and a smile is often the first step of building a positive attitude. Think about the difference it would make in your life if you spent your entire day looking forward to the opportunity to go home and work out, instead of thinking of your workout as a chore you have to do for the sake of your weight loss efforts.

The next time you are feeling drained or are dreading a workout, try channeling a feeling of happiness and appreciation and remind yourself why you are working so hard. You are worth every bit of hard work, and you are much stronger than any snack, soda, or craving. Keep a few motivational sayings around to encourage you when times get hard. Joining a medical weight loss program is the first step in the journey to a healthier lifestyle, but having a positive attitude will stay with you all the way.

I decided GLP-1 meds were the next step in losing more and keeping it off.  I wanted a medical doctor supervised program and chose SWLC. I am so very glad I did!  The team in Glendale is so supportive and kind; and when I feel discouraged, they pick me up with positive energy and input.  They really do a great job with encouragement all the time. 6 weeks in I've lost 17 pounds, and am approaching weight loss with a very new perspective.
