The genuine caring staff helped me change my way of living and thinking.
I was sent to Scottsdale Weight Loss Center by my doctor because he saw I was not addressing my weight problem and it was beginning to seriously affect my health. As it was once put to me in conversation, “You seem to really enjoy groceries!” I had to finally admit I could not take care of my weight issue by myself.
I thought, incorrectly, I would just pay for some special food and the weight would drop off and that would be it. I wasn’t happy when I found there were classes to attend, but my wife said she would go with me so I grudgingly went. It didn’t hurt a bit. I learned something each class and my wife and the staff at Dr. Rodarte’s location in Chandler were the support combination I needed to focus on winning my personal war with myself.
I keyed on things like 3500 calories equals one pound of fat, and for every pound, I lost I took four pounds of pressure off my joints. Suddenly it did not hurt to just roll over and get out of bed and walk, and soon I found I didn’t have to be a contortionist and exhaust myself just to tie my shoes. After the first 30 pounds, I started exercising with gradual increases so I didn’t overdo it and hurt myself.
I had lost 10 pounds prior to my first appointment because I wanted to start losing right away, and since October of 2013, I have lost 70 pounds, achieved my goal weight, have more energy and my joints don’t hurt anymore. I can still have a “cheat” meal when I really want one, just not a cheat decade.
Thank you to Scottsdale Weight Loss Center and the genuine caring staff for helping me change my way of living and thinking.
