What’s Your Diet Personality?
Quick Fix: Are you in a hurry to lose weight? Do you feel like you have to do everything perfectly to get results as quickly as possible? You might be suffering from a quick-fix mentality. The problem, of course, is that there is no quick-fix for weight loss, so you’re setting yourself up for failure with unrealistic expectations.
I Don’t Need to Exercise: Are you focusing all of your weight loss energy on changing your diet? Unfortunately, the best way to achieve long term weight loss is with a combination of diet and exercise. Focusing on one while ignoring the other may lead to weight loss initially, but the results will be difficult to maintain.
The Biggest Loser: As opposed to focusing all of your efforts on diet, you may be putting too much emphasis on exercise. Are you working yourself to the point of exhaustion every day? That’s a good way to hit weight loss burnout long before you reach your goal weight.
Emotional Eater: Are you eating because you’re hungry, or because of what you’re feeling? If you use food to handle your negative emotions, you’re bound to wind up consuming more calories than your body can handle in a day.
I Don’t Have Time to Diet: Are you too busy to eat right or workout? A lot of people really don’t feel like they have any extra time in their lives to incorporate a weight loss plan. Unfortunately, finding time to make weight loss a priority is the only way to achieve it.
