Recipe of the Month: Bloody Mary Mocktail

  • 1 packet Garden Vegetable Optifast soup
  • 6-8 ounces cold water
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce*
  • ½ tsp horseradish*
  • 2-3 drops Tabasco sauce*
  • Squeeze of lemon
  • Celery to garnish

Directions: Combine all ingredients and blend. 
*amount may be altered to your liking.

310 Calorie Burn 5K Walk/Run

It's not too late!!  Register for SWLC's 1st Annual '310 Calorie Burn 5K Walk/Run' on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 8:00am. 

We provide the fun-filled event, you burn 310 calories!  That is the calories you will burn by completing a 5K (3.1 miles).  And no matter what your fitness level, we will lead you to the finish line.

Online Class Scheduling is Here!

We ask that you schedule your weekly class prior to attending.  This can be done in the office when scheduling your medical visits or online. This new system will help you keep track of which classes you have attended and allow you to make changes if you need to cancel and reschedule a class. If you are interested in participating in this wonderful service, please call the office or pick up an instruction sheet which will walk you through the entire process.

Are you having trouble getting to our exercise-based classes?

Did you know that, according to the National Weight Control Registry, one of the key factors in maintaining your weight loss is exercise?  In fact, studies show that people who lose weight by dieting alone gain most of the weight back within a year! 

We offer 2 classes, Functional Movement and Advanced Conditioning, which will help you develop a strength training routine to help you tighten and tone as you lose weight! These classes are marked by an asterisk* on your class calendar.  We understand that you may be coming to class directly from work, on your lunch break, etc. so please know that you are more than welcome to attend these classes and watch if you are not prepared to engage in activity that day.  You will still walk away with valuable information and exercises that you can perform in the privacy of your own home.  And, as always, if you need additional help in the proper form of the exercises or in creating an exercise program that is tailored specifically for you, we do offer exercise counseling with Sandy.
